Still Have Questions?

Question: Do I HAVE TO do a regional to enter the championships?

Answer: Nope! But here’s a good reason to consider it. The Regionals are separate events. If you are the winner of Midlands well, you are the winner of that Region. The Big Dog, El Jefe, Chief Rocka, OG etc. and as such you can earn points to be the Nation’s Best Dance School Winner

Question: TRASH! That sounds WACK – What is it anyway

Answer: TRASH! is the Ultimate Freestyle 2v2 Battle. When we first ran it as team battle it quickly became the audience favourite and a full on challenge for the creative street dancers. Basically it is You and a partner vs 2 other dancers vs the Crazy DJ. The DJ can play ANYTHING and you and your partner must, using street, be more creative than the other team. The concept was inspired by the The Lockers Swan Lake

Question: So if I don’t have to go to the regionals why should I bother?

Answer: Go to a national final is perfect, for some. But some crews don’t feel ready and want to dip their toes in the water first.

If you want to go straight to the National’s by all means join us, however you go to the regionals you will be accumulating points towards becoming the Nation’s Best Dance School – Street Dance award winner.

Getting Ready

One last thing. I have frequently been asked what I use to get the best music mix and I decided to share it with everybody.

It’s not cheap, but if you are doing a lot of mixing and have been paying for someone to do it for you well, why not have a go yourself. I find WaveLab easy to use and it is my favorite when I need a professional mix. <img style=”border: none !important; margin: 0px !important;” src=”http://ir-uk.amazon-adsystem.com/e/ir?t=idanceorg-21&l=as2&o=2&a=B00L4JXNWI” alt=”” width=”1″ height=”1″ border=”0″ />

Nowadays I use Adobe Audition a lot. It is simply not as good but for a quick and dirty job, it works AND if you teach or are a student you can get it at a decent price on the Adobe education website.
