I understand that it is my responsibility to read and understand them.Supervision *I understand that children under 18 years old must be supervised at all times by at all times while participating in idance/HHI events. This includes arriving at or leaving the venue for any reason, use of toilets, etc.Supervision (2) *idance® may, from time to time if required, provide dedicated licensed chaperones or DBS checked staff members, in the backstage area immediately prior to, during, and after the child’s competition(s) to ensure child safety. After competing, the child’s coach, the parent or DBS checked guardian must immediately collect the child.Supervision (3) *I understand that, except when the child participant is in the performance area(s), supervision may be by one of the following:- The child participant’s regular coach- The child participant’s parents (only your own child unless you are holding a current DBS or Chaperones License) - A licensed chaperone of the parents’ or coaches’ choosing. - Another person of my or my coaches choosing who holds a current DBS Check.Safeguaring at Move It *To ensure that the UK Hip Hop Dance Championship is conducted in a safe and secure environment, we have established additional Safeguarding Guidelines in line with Newham Council’s requirements.Crewleader/Chaperone Requirements *In alignment with our policies and with Newham Council's regulations, studio owners and crew leaders are responsible for looking after their own dancers. However, any event organised by idance® within Newham, or with MOVE IT, will also require that the studio owner/crewleader is a licensed chaperone or DBS Checked person and must be present for all dancers under the age of 16.Ratio of Caperones to Dancers *The ratio must be one chaperone or DBS checked person per 12 persons under 16 years old participating in the Championship. Therefore, for the JV MegaCrew Division, up to 4 crewleaders may be required. We allow free entry for one crewleader for the JV MegaCrew Division. Additional crewleader access may be charged at a heavily discounted price.Example: for JV MegaCrew 1 - 12 Dancers One Chaperone 13- 24 Dancers Two Chaperones 25 - 36 Dancer Three Chaperones 37+ Four ChaperonesZero Tolerance for Abuse *We expect all participants, staff, crew leaders and chaperones to act responsibly at all times, including notifying us of any Safeguarding incidents as soon as possible. We will work together with MOVE IT to ensure that everyone involved in our events does so safely and securely.Zero Tolerance for Abuse (2) *We expect all participants, staff, crew leaders and chaperones to abide by the Safeguarding Policy and any code of conduct established for the UK Hip Hop Dance Championship.Zero Tolerance for Abuse (3) *We also have a zero-tolerance policy when it comes to any behaviour that could be harmful or dangerous to our participants, regardless of age, including but not limited to physical aggression towards another person, possession of illegal substances, sexual misconduct or harassment, abuse or bullying.Zero Tolerance for Abuse (4) *We will not tolerate discrimination in any form, whether based on race, gender, religion, sexual orientation or disability. Any form of discrimination may result in expulsion from the event, loss of awards and potential barring from future participation.Handling of Incidents *If any Safeguarding incidents occur at idance® events which could put the safety and security of our participants at risk in any way, these must be reported as soon as possible so that they can be addressed appropriately and appropriate action can be taken. This may include reporting the incident to law enforcement authorities if necessary. It is our duty to ensure that all those involved in our events do so in a safe and respectful way. We expect everyone involved in the UK Hip Hop Dance Championship to adhere to this Safeguarding Policy at all times. This policy addendum is hereby incorporated with our general terms and conditions which can be accessed at www.hiphopinternational.co.uk/tos and our Child Protection Policy.Accident Liability and Waivers *I certify that I am physically fit, have sufficiently trained for participation in the event and have not been advised otherwise by a qualified medical person.Accident Liability and Waivers (2) *I acknowledge that this athletic/dance event is a test of a person’s physical and mental abilities and carries with it the potential for serious injury, death and property loss. The risks include but are not limited to, those caused by terrain, facilities, temperature, weather, condition of athletes/dancers, equipment, vehicular traffic, actions of other people including, but not limited to, participants, volunteers, spectators, coaches, event officials, and event monitors, and/or producers of the event, and lack of hydration. These risks are not only inherent to athletes/dancers, but are also present for volunteers and guests. I hereby assume all of the risks of participating and/or volunteering in this event. Further, I agree to examine the physical staging area of the competition for any possible defects (e.g., wet or oily surface, cracks, etc.), and, without limiting the generality of the foregoing, waive any and all claims relating to the physical staging area of the Competition. I realize that liability may arise from negligence or carelessness on the part of the persons or entities being released, from dangerous or defective equipment or property owned, maintained or controlled by them or because of their possible liability without fault.Accident Liability and Waivers (3) *I acknowledge that this Accident Waiver and Release of Liability form will be used by the event holders, sponsors and organizers, in which I may participate and that it will govern my actions and responsibilities at said events.Accident Liability and Waivers (4) *In consideration of my application and permitting me to participate or volunteer in this event, I hereby take action for myself, my executors, administrators, heirs, next of kin, successors, and assigns as follows” (A) Waive, Release and Discharge from any and all liability for my death, disability, personal injury, property damage, property theft or actions of any kind which may hereafter accrue to me including traveling to and from this event, THE FOLLOWING ENTITIES OR PERSONS: Idanceorg ltd, Hip Hop International, Howard Schwartz Productions, the Producers and Sponsor(s) of the Competition and its related activities, and all agents, employees, venues and licensees of the foregoing, their directors, officers, employees, volunteers, representatives, and agents, the event holders, event sponsors, event directors, event volunteers; (B) Indemnify and Hold Harmless the entities or persons mentioned in this paragraph from any and all liabilities or claims made as a result of participation or volunteering in this event, whether caused by the negligence of releases or otherwise.Accident Liability and Waivers (5) *I hereby consent to receive medical treatment and ambulance service that may be deemed advisable in the event of injury, accident and/or illness during this event. I shall be liable and immediately pay all costs and expenses incurred in connection with such medical and travel services rendered.Accident Liability and Waivers (6) *I understand that at this event or related activities, I may be photographed and/or videotaped. I hereby consent to you and you successors in interest, photographing me and recording my voice and performance, if any, and using my picture photograph, silhouette and other reproductions of my physical likeness and sound (as the same may appear) in any still camera photograph and/or motion picture, video tape or motion pictures in which the same may be used or incorporated, and also in the promotion exploitation and/or publicizing of any such motion picture or tape, but not limited to radio, television or theatrical motion picture or tape. I agree to allow my photo, video tape or film likeness to be used for any legitimate purpose on an irrevocable and unlimited basis by the event holders, producers, sponsors, organizers and or assigns without any compensation or payment being made for such use and further use thereof.Accident Liability and Waivers (7) *This Accident Waiver and Release of Liability shall be construed broadly to provide a release and waiver to the maximum extent permissible under applicable law.
